How is your day going today? Good, ok, maybe just plain bad?
It is easy to praise God when all is well, no problem to lift up your voice and worship. How about when your day is awful? How about if you are having the worst day ever…or at least since the last time your day was this horrible? Can you worship now, or give God praise?
If you are having a bad day, no matter how bad that day is…the Lord of all creation, He cares for you and is with you. Yup…the ruler of heaven and earth is concerned about how you feel. Amazing isn’t it? All that goes on in this world and the Lord God knows all about your bad day. Hmmm…
So instead of feeling helpless, instead of trying to lift yourself out of this blah feeling, this rotten day…offer up praise to your Father in heaven. Pray to Him and thank Him for your day, all of it. Yes you read that right…thank God for even the bad things. Thank Him in advance for lifting you up and restoring you to a better place in Him.
Doing this is not easy, in fact it is very hard. Doing this has a reward…you will feel better. As hard as it is to do this, you need to…right now.
I know…I just did it myself. God will hear you and lift you up when you honor Him first.
Thank you Lyn….

Haven’t you known, haven’t you heard that the everlasting God, Adonai, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary? His understanding cannot be fathomed. He invigorates the exhausted, He gives strength to the powerless. Young men may grow tired and weary, even the fittest may stumble and fall; but those who hope in Adonai will renew their strength, they will soar aloft as with eagles’ wings; when they are running they won’t grow weary, when they are walking they won’t get tired.” Yesha ’Yahu 40:27-31 (Isaiah)

When I close my eyes in the evening hours, it is your face I see. Though I know not what your face looks like, I imagine it anyway.
When I close my eyes in the evening hours, I know you’re gazing down upon me; and I can see your smile in my dreams, my dreams of heaven and your amazing glory.
Sometimes before I doze off to sleep, I can see myself running freely throughout eternity. I am leaping from mountain to mountain, soaring high in the places where here I cannot go; while all along you are smiling, because you already know.
In my moments of deep thought, I am kneeling before your feet; and then I am singing songs to you…singing songs as I dance along a golden street.
When I open my eyes to the morning sun, it is your smile I see. I know what your smile looks like, it’s in the flowers, and it’s in the tree; for they were created to grow stretching forth their arms in glory.
When I open my eyes to the morning sun, I’ve never been so free; all of the fear has up and gone, because I can feel you holding me.
Oh my Lord…Adonai, I can see and feel you everywhere; for I cannot draw in a breath without inhaling your indescribable scent. My eyes were made for only you, and your love is beyond compare.
For it is you, my Lord, who knows me so well, for upon my head you have numbered every hair; when I’ve stumbled and I’m shattered, you have loved me when others would not dare.
I gaze out into the distance, and I rejoice because you are my Father. I know the time is coming soon we shall reunite, and my heart swells with laughter.
I didn’t deserve it, for I was poor and filthy. Yet you picked me up from the side of the road, fixing your gaze upon me; and as you spoke, your words were as smooth as a peaceful sea.
“My little child, I have loved you so; and I knew you’d be here this day. I have come to rescue you; will you come with me and stay?”
You took me to your palace and treated me like a queen, when in actuality, I was nothing. You bathed me, fed me, and gave me clothes, and called me your little princess. You announced to everyone that today you had found your daughter, and blessed me with many kisses.
My Father I owe you everything, for you gave me the breath of life; my every heartbeat is indebted to you, for you are rich in mercy.
Had you not come, had you not loved, had you not been so abundant in care; I would still be nothing more than a dirty slave sitting on the side of the road hungry, helpless, and bare.
Thank you for all that you have done, and thank you for sending me a second chance through Yeshua, your only son. Thank you for sharing your Spirit, or I would have been done; and thank you for showing me kindness when I deserved none.

Our time is short, more so than many understand. The Church of today is asleep, refusing to acknowledge the grave danger on the very near horizon. Many in the Church carry on as if nothing is happening, and will not happen.
Apathy rules the day, even in the Church Satan has his hands fully immersed. Many will be upset and even insulted by this…it is true nonetheless. The coming of Christ is seen as a still distant event, if even believed at all. Most seem to think that there is plenty of time…there is not.
Many if asked are not even aware of what the Gospel is all about, nor are many aware of what a personal relationship with Christ is all about. Many think they are saved, they are not. This is not written to anger people…but rather to speak the truth. The time for mincing words and being “polite” and not hurting anyone’s feelings is over.
None of us desire to hurt anyone, or be insulting. Yet we do desire to bring forth the truth, God’s truth. The forces of the last anti-christ are rising, forming coalitions even now as I write this. If you are not certain, positive beyond a doubt that you personally know Jesus Christ as Lord…you had better pay attention and stop refusing Him. Today is the day of salvation…you might not get another chance.
Changes are coming and they are coming soon. We need to be prepared for them, or the forces of evil will sweep up many…including some who believe in Jesus. Believing in Jesus is not enough…this will not save you, nor will it protect you. Remember…the demons believe in Satan and are scared to death of Him…and they will not be protected from the coming wrath…and neither will you on this basis alone. You and I, all of us need to have that firmly entrenched belief in Christ…but we also need to have a relationship with the Almighty Creator of all…Jesus Christ. Do you know Him? Is He part of your life, part of your decisions, do you love Him?
Take your wife, or your husband, you do not just love them; you are in love with them right? So do you feel this same way about Jesus? You need to…all of us men, woman and children. It is through this relationship that you will be protected through what is coming.
Many in the Church think they will not experience anything bad. Oh really?? Tell that to those who are sitting in Iranian jails, tell that to those who are to be executed because of their faith in Christ. Tell that to those who have had family members killed before their eyes…because they would not recant their faith in Jesus Christ. These things are happening more and more…and these crimes are spreading throughout the world. This will come to the US as well…things are happening here already.
The forces of evil are at war and we Believers are the targets. Woe unto you if you are caught unprepared. Just look at what has happened with gay marriage…this is only the beginning far worse is coming.
Being a true follower of Jesus will mean that you are a hater. You are scum…this is beginning to happen even now. All religions are tolerable…unless you happen to be a follower of the Way…Jesus Christ. Then you are intolerant and hateful. Those who only “know of” Jesus…will likely fall away and be consumed and caught up in the world…when the world turns against them.
These are not my words; this is all in the Bible…God’s Word makes all of this clear to us. The world hated Jesus first; it will hate us as well.
To survive…a strong faith in Jesus is needed. If you don’t have this, now is the time to call upon the Lord. Stop messing around and putting it off…get serious about your faith and live it. If you do not, you will reap the consequences and those consequences will be serious.
This is not a game…it is deadly serious. If you are on the fence, get off! The time for being serious is now, right now. The Lord is trying to get all peoples attention…He is calling out to all who will listen. Unfortunately…many will not. Many will be asleep at the wheel thinking they are safe…and it will be to late. PLEASE do not let this be you.
Those who teach…had better be warning the people of what is coming. Any of us who do not will be held accountable. Those who are currently misleading their sheep will pay a steep price…and this is happening in many churches today. If you post on the Internet about Christ…you are teaching whether or not you think so. You will be held accountable for what you say, and for what you do not say.
The time is coming, and will soon be here. You will be forced to pick a side…choose wisely choose Christ. The power of evil is all around us, and is increasing. For a time evil will be allowed to win…but the final victory is already decided. Jesus Christ is the undisputed ruler of all, the giver of life. Be certain you are on His team.
God bless you all and strengthen you, may His tender mercies be anew each day for you. May you experience His peace, as you obey His voice.

Sadness and loneliness weighed heavy on my heart that evening a few years ago as I sat on the edge of my bed talking with the Father about some things that were on my mind. It was then that one of the most profound realizations I have ever had hit me.
You see, all of my life I had grown up in Church and was heavily exposed to Christianity. I’d heard the Bible, chapter and verse, quoted relentlessly, over and over again. I had always loved what I knew about the Lord; but was I in love with Him?
Although I had asked the Lord into my heart as my personal Savior, I did not really know Him the way you know someone in your life you are personally and intimately involved with.
Ashamedly, I had to admit it. Why should I be embarrassed or hesitant? God already knew this; but for some reason, it was a hard thing to say aloud, especially to God! What if you had to go to your spouse one day and say, “Honey, I’ve been with you for many years now, but I just realized today that all of these years, I’ve loved everything ‘about’ you; but I’m not really in love with you!” They would be crushed, and you would be crushed to have to say such a thing.
As it was, I said, “Father, you already know this,” I sighed, “but I have to tell you. I have to be up front in our relationship. This is so hard for me, but I don’t think I’m in love with you. Oh, you’re the greatest and I admire you, and I thought I loved you, but I only love what I know about you. I know all about you Lord, but I do not personally know you.”
A tear escaped my eye as quickly I glanced down, assuming I could somehow hide my face from God’s view. I stared at my feet, noticing how quiet it was, expecting some loud thunderous roar from the heavens, or lightening to strike before me.
I continued on. “Father, I need a favor. I need you to teach me to fall in love with you. It’s hard for me because, well, as a human, I associate love with touching, feeling, being touched, seeing, sharing, voice inflection, tone, spending time together, and all of those physical things that I’m not sure how to have with you.
“So Lord, I’m really going to need you to work hard in me to show me how to have these things, or, how to NOT have them, yet to learn regardless how to fall in love.”
And then it hit me; maybe lightening did indeed strike after all! My walk with the Lord had been so hard throughout my life because I had loved what I knew, but was not in love. If I were married to a man I wasn’t in love with, how hard would it be to please him? My heart wouldn’t be in it, and I would fail horribly.
Do you remember those times? God does. Let me ask you this. Have you ever been this way with God? I hadn’t. And this was exactly what I wanted Him to teach me. I wanted to share this type of praise, honor, glory, and devotion with Him! I mean, how can I stand before Him some day and discuss with Him all of these different relationships where I did these things knowing He will look at me and say, “Lyn, how come you never did this for me? You put these people above me as your god because you were literally worshiping and serving them, but not me!”?

If you have not read part one, I highly suggest you do, you can find it here
Next we have the parts of the Catholic penance. I will only cover 2 items here. First is saying Hail Mary’s usually 3 of them, completely unbiblical. Never did Jesus tell us to do this, if this is in truth correct, then why is it not found in the Word?
Next is the giving of Alms. Alms are actually a very good thing to give. It is simply a gift usually money to someone in need. The problem here is that this smacks of purchasing forgiveness. Just as your salvation is a free gift from God, you cannot pay for forgiveness! That is insulting to God in the highest.
Jesus Christ came to this earth to satisfy the debt of sin owed to God by every single human that has ever, or will ever live. Jesus was the only One who could pay that debt, the perfect man, able to be the sacrificial Lamb of God. We HAD to have a man as the sacrifice for sin. The first man Adam, and all others after sinned, therefore the sins of man need to be paid for by a man, that man was and is Jesus.
Why would you seek to pay for what Christ gave His life on the cross to pay for? Why would you cheapen that beautiful gift of God?
How about works? Many Catholics I have spoken to believe or did believe before they read the Word for themselves in works based salvation. If this was not taught, then why do so many believe this? Why do so many (this is not just limited to the Catholic church to be fair) believe that they will be in heaven because they are good people?
There are now many Catholic churches that now say salvation is of God only. Really? Then why is the following referenced concerning works?
- “If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified; in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to co-operate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will; let him be anathema” (Council of Trent, Canons on Justification, Canon 9).
- “If any one saith, that man is truly absolved from his sins and justified, because he assuredly believed himself absolved and justified; or, that no one is truly justified but he who believes himself justified; and that, by this faith alone, absolution and justification are effected; let him be anathema.” (Canon 14).
Basically this says that to be saved works are needed, along with faith in God. By the way, the meaning of anathema is: If anyone believes otherwise, they are to be excommunicated…thrown out of the church, it can also be interpreted to mean condemned to hell forever. No man has the right to condemn anyone to hell, which is God’s province.
We are saved by faith in Christ alone. The passage in James referenced to prove the Catholic point of view is taken out of context.
James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead
The above verse is pointed to, as the evidence that works are needed to be saved…not true.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
So how do we reconcile these 2 seemingly opposing verses? First we need to understand that salvation and the evidence of salvation are 2 different things.
Ephesians 2:8-9 speaks of salvation, the act of being saved by faith in Jesus Christ, who saves us by granting grace, the grace granted for your sins when you confess them to Him ask for forgiveness and for Jesus to enter your heart and be your Lord and Savior.
James 2:17 on the other hand is referring to the evidence of salvation. If you are truly saved, if you really belong to Jesus…eternal life with Him is yours, then it will show in what you do, your works. And even these were created for you to do.
Ephesians 2:10 says, For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
In other words, James 2:19 is saying that if your salvation is real, you will do good works, if it is not, you will not. It’s that simple, works do not save you, being a good person does not save you. The nicest person in the world…if this person does not know Jesus, he or she will wind up in hell for all eternity, and that is the unvarnished truth.
How could your works mean anything before God? What can you do for God that He cannot do Himself? God chooses to use us; He does not in any way need us. The belief that works are at all necessary to salvation basically invalidates the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross. If our personal works could in any way accomplish our salvation, or even play a part in securing our eternal life with God…then why would God Himself come to this world and offer Himself willingly on the cross suffering horrible excruciating pain and humiliation to pay for our sins? That would not make sense.
Place your faith in Christ alone, and trust Him to save you. Your works as far as salvation is concerned mean nothing.
Pray to the Father, through the name of Christ who lives to make intercession for us, (Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them) and no one else. Praying to saints is unbiblical and wrong.

Soul Deceiver—Book One—Summary
Krista Coblentz teams with Detective Darnell Simpson, a backslidden Christian, after police discover Krista’s best friend savagely murdered and dismembered. Krista’s relationship with Simpson disintegrates after she accepts an invitation to one of Khalid’s demonic services promoting his perfect one-world church.
Could UNIFY truly be the apostasy and the emergence of a one-world religion foretold in the Bible Christians believe it is—merely a counterfeit forged by Satan himself that shall lead even the elect astray? Or, could it be the perfect church the Bible predicts, rising up out of the darkness, delivering a new world peace by fusing Christians and Muslims together as one?
Ms. Leahz masterfully weaves this end-times thriller with excitement, murder, intrigue, romance and mystery. This fast-paced prophetic classic will leave you breathless and eagerly awaiting the second book in Ms. Leahz’s trilogy.
- “What most Christians forget is that the main purpose of God’s plan for us is to fight and expose evil. Lyn Leahz in her fiction Soul Deceiver writes an amazing tale and embeds the necessary biblical truth to help us see the quagmire of delusion, deception and apostasy that engulf the church today. The gripping story sifts out the words of a sweet-talking devil that wants to unify Christianity with Islam attempting to seduce us with flattery. The story tells how the prudent spirit-filled Christian can stand firm against the works of darkness. “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].” (Dan 11:32) –Walid Shoebat, International Speaker and Best Selling Author of God’s War on Terror: Islam, Prophecy and the Bible. - “All one needs to do is watch the daily news, or read a newspaper, and compare those words to the Books of Daniel, Ezekiel, or Revelation, to understand the times in which we live. Lyn Leahz does a great job in her book, Soul Deceiver, pulling you into the lives of her characters, to allow you to experience the scenarios of end time prophecy. If you are a lover of end times eschatology, then Soul Deceiver is a must read.” –Tim R. Philley, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, Oral Roberts University

Lyn Leahz stays true to God’s Word while reminding us of our calling as disciples of Christ. Our primary objective, especially during the end times, is to keep God’s Word pure and to proclaim the Word of God as true without compromise. I do not write this article as an attempt to denigrate those who are Catholic. It is not my intention to insult anyone in any way. I personally know people who are Catholic, and though I do not agree with many things this religion teaches, these folks (the ones I know and others as well) are good people, people who truly know the Lord.
This has in truth been on my heart for a long time now, but I have been ignoring it. Trying to ignore it…but this just will not go away.
I see in so many places statues, statues of Mary the mother of Christ. So what you say. The real problem is what I do not see…Jesus. Let me elaborate a little on this.
First, there should not be any statues at all, we are not to have any graven image, nor any idols. Leviticus 26:1 “Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God”.
Statues are also a prime target of demons, statues, idols etc CAN have power behind them, the power of demons.
Second, these statues are set up to honor Mary, God is to be honored, not Mary…at least not in this way. It is fine to honor Mary as a wonderful woman of God, it is not fine to pay homage to her, worship her, or pray to her. That is God’s province only. Doing these things is actually a doorway for demons to come through and a way to harm your spiritual walk with Christ.
I have serious problems with this, what really matters however is that God has a problem with this. While honoring Mary is fine, she is not ever to be prayed to, never for any reason. We are told in many verses Who to pray to. Luke 6:12 is Jesus Himself praying to the Father. Philippians 4:6 present your requests to God. 1 John 1:9 “He” is faithful and just to forgive us. Matthew 6:6 Jesus telling us to pray to our Father. Matthew 6:9 Jesus speaking once more, “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven”…
Nowhere in the Bible will you find a single word concerning praying to Mary, the ONLY One we are to pray to is God the Father through Jesus Christ.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
This is just plain wrong, this is a prayer addressed to Mary, which many don’t seem to realize is the equivalent of elevating Mary to equal status with God. Mary was the mother of Jesus, she is not God, and is not His equal, nor does she have any power to grant anything to anyone. This is completely unbiblical.
Mary was a woman, a woman highly favored by God, and chosen to bear Jesus in her womb. There is no question that Mary was a great woman, but how does she become elevated to semi-godhood status because of this? Remember, God chose Mary and He could have just as easily chosen someone else. Praying to or worshiping Mary does one thing and one thing only; it dishonors both Mary and God.
God will have no other before Him, nor does He share His glory with any other. Praying to Mary is a huge affront to God. No one that believes in God would pray to the sun in the sky, why would you pray to Mary? Are you trying to incite the wrath of God? I’m not at all trying here to make anyone angry or personally attack anyone…but please show me where in the Word of God it says even one word concerning praying to Mary.
Then there is calling the priest “father”, the Bible and Jesus specifically state not to do that. Matthew 23:9 Jesus speaking; Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. How is this then ok? It is not.
The priest also hears confession, while confession is good for the soul it is not good that the priest hears what is said and then tells the confessor that they are indeed forgiven, or even at times tells the penitent they are not forgiven. The idea is that the priest hears confession of sin, and he judges if the person confessing is sincere or not. Then he assigns what he feels is the proper penance to them, often including some Hail Mary’s. Then the priest grants absolution by the power of the church, which in turn was granted this power by Christ Himself. Except that none of this is true.
No one but God has the power to forgive sin. There are various verses pointed to that make some think others have the power to forgive through God, simply unbiblical. If this is true, then why does the Bible not specifically say this?
Think about this, why would God share the power of forgiveness, His own personal bailiwick? Who was on the cross to pay for those sins? It was Jesus, and Jesus only alone.
After confession as I said the priest assigns a penance. Under whose authority? It certainly isn’t under Christ’s because Christ never commanded such a thing. Read your Bible, it’s not there. We are told in James to confess our sins to one another…that in no way means that anyone you confess to has the power to forgive you, they do not! God put that in His Word for a simple reason…He knew that once we confess what we have done wrong, “get it off your chest”, we will feel better…and we DO feel better. But feeling better has little to do with forgiveness, which comes from God only.
If this is Biblical, then why are these things not required by God Himself? How do you receive forgiveness of sin from God? You ask with a sincere heart, genuinely being sorry for what you have done, and God forgives you. It’s that simple. Is there any form of penance? Yes there is. Lets say you have lied about your friend this is a sin obviously. So you confess this to God and are sorry you did it…God forgives because you asked. Then you go to this friend and confess that you did this, ask forgiveness from him (you are forgiven by God regardless of the persons answer) and do your best to make things right…that is the penance, or what is termed as being repentant of your sin. In other words making a U turn, not continuing in this sin. But no man on earth has the power to assign anything for you to do that is strictly between you and God alone.
In part two we will look at penance among other things.
God’s richest blessings be upon you all
I have written much on this topic, worship and its proper form and function.
I guess it would be fair to say that worship not given its proper place really annoys me…it should upset you as well.
In the first place, worship is not about you or me…it is all about God. It is always about God first last and always. Yes we all want to attend a church where we like the worship “style”, and that is ok.
The problem comes in when people see worship as being for themselves. That doesn’t really happen you are thinking, or maybe its “I would never do that”. Really? Ever go to church and think that the worship was not that great? Ever think the song selection was bad? Maybe you just could not worship to “those” songs? You just made worship all about you and not about God.
When we show up to church, and the worship band, or the organist, or piano player or whatever is used for worship where you are starts…it is not at all about the music being played, or the person on the stage playing or singing. It is all about worshiping Jesus Christ and our Father in heaven. It is not about that song you did not care for, it’s not about you! If you go to church with the attitude that all the music played should be stuff you like, you have already lost the battle.
This next has nothing to do with any given worship team, and any worship team worth their salt will be the first to tell you this. Worship in the church MUST come first. All other functions in the church, and this includes evangelism and teaching…flow FROM worship and glorification of God.
Do you doubt this? What is the greatest commandment of Christ? Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
Loving God with all your heart…a big part of this is worship! What we need to run the church, our requirements for living life if you will…all flow through worship of our Lord. This does not always mean in the church either. Worship at home, in the car, anywhere.
Worship is a direct link to our Creator, similar to prayer. The thing about worship is when we concentrate on true worship…praising God with our very soul, loving Him through the words of adoration and praise we are singing, or praying to Him while the song is being played…when we do this, the Lord blesses us for it! We worship Him and we receive the blessing for doing so. We are refueled, energized again, regenerated by His Spirit!
A great worship team is a treasure, a true blessing in worship and I have been fortunate in that. Still…we ought to be able to walk into a church that is playing any music, and be able to worship God.
Thanks to a wonderful worship director, Aaron…I have this excellent video to share about worship. Enjoy!
Popes, prophecies, aliens: Public wants to know what’s going on
When the first resignation of a pope in 600 years coincides with the release of a book about a pope resigning, well, the result is bestseller status for an author.
Or, more precise, authors, as Tom Horn and Chris Putnam combined to pen “Petrus Romanus,” an exhaustive and heavily documented look at the mysterious “prophecies of St. Malachy,” a 12th century Irish priest.
“‘Petrus Romanus’ in the last two months has sold better than it did last year,” says Horn.
Pope Benedict’s stunning resignation not only created a firestorm of media coverage, but also drove Christian radio shows and publications to focus on the Vatican intrigue. Horn and Putnam have been inundated with media requests.
Now, the two have produced a new book, “Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, Project LUCIFER, and the Vatican’s Astonishing Exo-Theological Plan for the Arrival of an Alien Savior.” With a subtitle like that, Horn knows readers will be intrigued, and the built-in audience from the runaway sales of “Petrus Romanus” ensure another bestseller.
“Last year we were doing shows on ‘Petrus Romanus’ and on call-in shows, more callers were interested in the Vatican’s E.T. connection,” says Horn. “When we responded to those questions, those shows did better than the one on the prophecy of the popes!”

You Are I Am
The veil is torn
And now I live with the Spirit inside
The same one, the very same one
who brought the Son back to life
Hallelujah, He lives in me
Hallelujah, He lives in me
Hallelujah, He lives in me
Hallelujah, He lives in me
You’re the one who conquers giants
You’re the one who calls out kings
You shut the mouths of lions
You tell the dead to breathe
You’re the one who walks through fire
You take the orphan’s hand
You are the one Messiah
You are I am
You are I am
You will read in Hebrews 6:19-20 that Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, is High Priest “after the order of Melchizedek.” The plainer English of the Moffatt translation words it: “. . with the rank of” that is, equal status with “Melchizedek.”
Melchizedek Was God‘s Priest
First, notice from both Old and New Testaments that the man of mystery, Melchizedek, was a priest of the Most High God. Turn ‘low to the account in Genesis 14. During the war between a number of ancient city-states in Canaan and Mesopotamia, Abraham’s nephew Lot had been captured. He and his family and goods were carted off.
One of their number escaped and brought the news to Abraham, who armed 318 of his own servants and pursued the invaders to what was later named Dan and beyond. Abraham rescued Lot and his family and returned them safely to the Canaanite cities.
On Abraham’s return a man of mystery bursts upon the scene. Abraham was ministered to by Melchizedek.
Here is the account:
“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was priest of God Most High. And he [Melchizedek] blessed him [Abraham] and said, ‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!’ And Abram gave him [Melchizedek] a tenth of everything” that is, a tithe of all, for a tithe means a tenth (Genesis 14:18-20, RSV).
Notice that Melchizedek was king of Salem. That is the city of Jerusalem. “Salem” comes from the Hebrew word meaning “peace.” That would make Melchizedek the “King of Peace” (Hebrews 7:2). The Hebrew name Melchizedek itself means “King of Righteousness” (Hebrews 7:2). The same individual is mentioned in Psalm 110:4. Speaking prophetically of Christ, David stated: “The Eternal hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” This verse is quoted again in Hebrews 5:6, 10.
Before we turn to Hebrews for the identification of Melchizedek, remember that this mystery figure is a mystery only to us. Abraham and the King of wicked Sodom knew exactly who he was. They must have seen him before. He could not have been a Canaanite, for they were steeped in pagan customs. And furthermore Canaan was a descendant of Ham, whereas God basically chose the descendants of Shem to accomplish His work.
Then who is the mystery man Melchizedek?
One other hint before we proceed. The land of Canaan from ancient time, before the days of Moses, was known among the Gentiles as “the divine land” the Holy land” the land of the place of worship!” Why? Was there someone in the Holy Land who was divine, holy, worthy of worship?
You definitely want to see this version! There is no video to speak of, but the end is way cool!
I see a lot of incorrect articles on Judging, and have heard many things that are not correct either.
The Bible does not say do not judge. We are in fact told to judge, look it up.
When judging…judge actions, not people. Judging people is where you will get into trouble…that is God’s job not yours.

For those of you who follow us at Vine of Life News, WordPress has shut us down with no explanation as to why! We were shut down yesterday and no one from WordPress has bothered to get back to us yet.
This is in my opinion low and underhanded. We were not even given the chance to remedy the problem.
Please pray that WordPress will restore our site. In the meantime we will be posting Vine of Life News material from http://lynleahz.com/ and you can also find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/VineOfLIfeNews
Do you hear the voice of One calling? Or is the only voice that can save you drowned out by the voice of the world?
Who speaks louder, Christ or the world? For many the world is louder…and the world is the voice that matters most.
If this world truly had a voice it would be the voice of Satan. God told us that the path is narrow and few find it. The road to destruction however is wide and easily traveled. The broad road of destruction is the world’s road, and most are on it.
The Bible says deny yourself, the world says grab it all…take everything you can get.
The Bible says homosexuality is wrong and is forbidden. The world says its no big deal, to each there own, it’s just another lifestyle.
The Bible says we cannot have any other god before Adonai, the world says all gods are good, except that God of the Christians.
The bible says Jesus Christ is the only way to God, the world says sure He is one way, there are others.
Ever heard it said the majority rules? That is society in general especially today. If you can get enough people to accept a new idea, it will become the norm. How has the world done this?
Take the Bible and what it tells us, the commandments of God and how we are to live etc. These things use to mean something, now the way of God means nothing to many. The world has indoctrinated the masses into this belief. How has this been done? The biggest way that the influence of the world has changed how people see God is by getting people to view themselves differently.
In God’s eyes we are here to serve Him and glorify Him…that is our main objective in life. Now the world comes along with it’s many anti-God theologians and says, “that’s not true, YOU deserve better than that”. The most important thing in life…is YOU. Forget all that humble serving crap, serve yourself, you are worth it baby!
Think about all the add slogans over the years, they are more and more geared to people serving themselves and getting what they want as fast as they can get it!
Treat yourself; you deserve it
You’re worth it baby!
There is only one you!
Give yourself the best; you earned it!
You work hard for your money; use how you like!
How about sporting events in the schools? Everybody gets a trophy and a ribbon. There are no losers anymore, well I’m sorry but someone does win, and someone does lose. The world just constantly bombards us with the message that the most important thing is self, nice guys finish last. The happiest guy or gal, well that is the one that has all the toys, or has all the latest fashions and accessories. You know the one that has that fabulous house, money and vacations etc?
Did you know that many people who “have it all” are absolutely miserable inside? Did you know that some of the loneliest people in the world are the ones with enormous wealth? Do you realize that many super popular people really feel inadequate inside? How about the ones who are busy keeping up with the Joneses? Many people actually feel empty inside, if you asked them and they were honest…they would tell you they do not feel like they have a purpose in life.
Look at the world around you, the state of today’s world has a direct correlation to the new god of this world that reigns supreme…and it is NOT Satan. Oh no, Satan himself has ordained this new god, his name is…self. You see, Satan gets a lot more mileage out of selfishness then he does anything else.
Time is short; there really is not a lot of it left. Listen to the voice of One calling today and submit yourself to Him today. If you can read this and think so what, well it may be too late for you already, God will not strive with man forever. In fact, you do not know when your last day is, and given current events, you do not know how much time you have here on earth.
