Unless you've been living under a rock you've probably heard about Chick-Fil-A’s statement regarding their belief that marriage is meant to be between a man and a woman, only. Apparently in certain areas of the country this is big news. “How intolerant?” “How ridiculous?” “How un-American?”

In other areas…like the Bible-belt… the questions are more: “How inspiring?!” or “How refreshing for them to take such a stand?!” The restaurant’s stand caused people to flock to their favorite chicken chain in droves.

This is the best article on CFA I have seen yet. Instead of choosing up sides or being snarky...this article is being fair. Focused on Jesus and the fact that we ALL sin and God does not like any of it!

  1. Excellent post. If we take things back to when our Country was truly “America,” homosexual marriages, and so many things I could write a book about, would all be shocking. You’d have more people saying that they couldn’t believe the gay people were marrying, and so forth. But now, it’s the other way around. Goes to show you how much can happen in such a little amount of time.

    • Yes now everything goes unfortunately. If we were as concerned about our own sins as Nathan brings up…

      • Yes, I got that out of it. To summarize, all sin is sin in God’s eyes, except for the unpardonable sin of course. This is what he is saying. He is saying that people should remove the plank out of their own eye before they remove a splinter from someone else’s. I agree.

However, I am commenting on the aspect of how our country has literally changed over the past 10 years…drastically. I think the problem here is that it seems to be okay for the liberal media to bash Christians and publicize our flaws, but it’s not okay for Christians to stand up for what is right. I don’t think there’s a question that all sin and fall short of God’s glory; rather, the problem is that in this day, everything that is Godly and right is over criticized, and everything that is sinful and corrupt is alright. So while I agree with his article, I disagree, if that makes any sense at all.

We are living in the day of double standards. The abhorrently wicked are praised; for example, Lady Ga Ga representing Office Depot. This is the kind of people the world wants to represent them. People who stand for sex, lust, witchcraft…that’s the world. But if you took and had someone like an Evenagelical Pastor representing a large company, well, we know what would happen with that. All hell would break loose. I’m sure you follow the news like everyone else; Christian’s rights are being stripped away by the world.

      • Yes I wholeheartedly agree with you! Sorry, I wasn’t trying to imply that you did not “get” it. :)

      • You’re fine..no need to apologize. I hadn’t assumed either way, to be honest. Was just explaining myself. Sorry if I came across that way. It wasn’t my intention. It’s all good!

  2. Unless someone is yelling at me or cursing me, I try not to assume the worst ;-)

    • :) :) Come back tomorrow, I think you will like tomorrows post!

      • LOL Why, will I say something debateful and get yelled at? That’s why you want me to come? So you can torment me? LOL

      • Funny girl you are! No seriously I spent 4 days writing this 3 part series. It all started from the conversations you and I had with a gentleman on your site about Jesus being God, remember? I really am hoping this series will reach some people, but that is up to God!

      • That oughta be good. I saw him recently on someone else’s website, but I forget who. You ought to go back and reference his comments..and if you check out their webpage (he has it listed on his profile) to read about them seems somewhat normal..that they believe in the trinity. Check that out and let me know your thoughts on their page. Like I said, you get to it from his profile page. Oh oh oh! Am I in your story? LOL Did you write it like I book? Am I the news reporter lady with a Christendom stalker….and you’re the detective…scoping it all out…you find that they are plotting to take over the world. The news reporter lady gets kidnapped and held for ransom.. He’s going to kill me (the reporter lady) if you don’t relent on your statement that Jesus is God…and then boom..all of a sudden the sky parts open and Jesus comes back on His white horse with fire spewing from his mouth like a sword. He’s riding circles around Christendom boy, staring him dead in the eye. I mean, He could burn holes in him the stare is so intense. The bad guy has just had an accident because he’s so terrified…and they all lived happily ever after!

  3. I know I know..I’m ruining everything you’ve put together..now you’re having second thoughts on writing it like a suspense, action thriller, right? ;-)

  4. Ha ha ha ha ha! There you go….I know you were joking…I’m just being difficult because sometimes it’s just fun! ;-)

2 Peter 3:10-11 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives
