Reblogged from Darrell Creswell:
Experts estimate that at any given time there are between 1 to 2.5 million people who are homeless in America.
Years ago, I traveled quite frequently and on this cold winter night in 1985, happened to be in downtown Chicago. I was staying in a hotel downtown and wanted to take a short walk before retiring for the evening. I stepped outside and saw a gentleman slowly walking toward me.
This is a great story, which happens to be true! A story about one man being touched by another and inspired by that chance meeting on a cold Chicago street. Or was it chance?
Read this engaging article by Darrell, it will move you I promise!

I was reminded by this wonderfully inspirting reblogged post of several “bridge people” with whom we ministered when living, working, and raising a family in Macon,GA years ago. These people would not come into the shelters or even accept temporary housing otherwise. They suffered from claustrophobia very severely. They came to live with Jesus, praise be! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this wonderful post with us.

We all see what we want to see, it is all together to easy to turn a blind eye to many things. May we all “see” and may we all help those in need.
Thanks for reading, Darrell is a great author!
